I’ve been reading a most disturbing book recently about the lives of American Christian teenagers. Regular readers of this newsletter will affirm that I try to keep up on what is being written about today’s students, both from a Christian and non-Christian perspective. Youth ministry is my area of specialization, and God has called me to serve in this area. I want to know what is going on, and I want to stay abreast of what others are saying about teenagers. That’s why I was intrigued to hear about Righteous: Dispatches from the Evangelical Youth Movement written by Lauren Sandler, a feature writer and reporter for National Public Radio.
