We're looking for articles BY and/or ABOUT Students
with a Testimony.
Guidelines
- S.w.a.T.
articles can be by a student or by a youth worker or freelance
writer who knows a particular student's experience of wrestling
with some spiritual issue and the testimony involved. The
focus should not be on the student but upon the issue, how the
student found God's answer, and how this student's testimony can
help others dealing with a similar issue.
- Final length:
800 - 1,000 words typed, double-spaced
- Put writer's
name, address, telephone number, and word count in the upper left
corner of page 1 of your article; also supply name, complete address
and phone number(s) of church where student is a member.
- If you have
a story to suggest for someone else to write, you must supply
the following information in order for your S.w.a.T. to be considered:
student's full name, address, phone number(s), parents' names;
church name, phone number; your own name and number.

- Jonathan Gebhardt
(sample issue): getting a Bible club started in his public high
school, what he went through, how long it took, what the results
were (written by Jonathan's youth pastor)
- Lori Brammer
(Fall 1999): testimony of how she became a "cyberChristian,"
witnessing on-line (written by Lori herself)
- Matt Ware (Winter
1999-00): testimony about his athletic background and plans and
how God has been at work despite his accident (written by a professional
broadcaster)
- Nathan Harmon
(Spring 2000): a senior who gave testimony at his graduation despite
being told not to do that by school administration (written by
RBP staff)
